Sending and Receiving Email / Issues with VPS

Hi all, I hope you can shed some light on this for me - we are having continuing issues with emails being delayed both sending and receiving - they seem to be batched somehow - our sysadmin is blaming the qmail - but in fairness doesn't really care that much I think.

Anyone else had experience of this - sometimes emails can be delayed up to 4 hours??

Is this affecting all email from your vps or just some of it?
