Package: VPS Basic Windows (plesk)

I need to add the www prefix to my domain name.
I read instructions how to do this but I can't find them now.

I created a new DNS entery under the domain with the following settings.
Is this correct.

record type: CNAME
enter domain name: www [domain.tld]
Enter a canonical name: domain.tld

I am hoping with this entry that if someone types www.domain.tld it will take them to domain.tld

I am working blind and only just learning VPS

PS,
There where instructions on doing this from plesk and the back end server but I can't find them in the knowledge base. If someone could provide the link I will bookmark it

Hi there,

That will work, but you will still need to set up the www. host header on the server so that the VPS knows what to do with that request.
