Default transfer files to VPS

Hi All,

I'm a complete noob to VPS and have what probably is a silly question. I would like to know how I can transfer files from my local PC to my new VPS. Is there a VPS 101 manual that I can refer to? Your advise will be much appreciated. TIA

Which kind of VPS did you get?

Is it Windows or Linux?

Did you get one with Plesk?

hi there, I really need to get some installation files over asap. Is it possible to do so without having to setup the root folder for a particular domain. I just want to move files from my pc to server C: drive.

Hi there,

You have three choices here.

1) upload what ever files you want to your VPS in a zip file via a plesk created ftp account and expand the zip file via winzip or your choice of zip application in a terminal service / remote desktop connection.

2) Choice number 2 is to the use the file manager in vzpp once you login to plesk via your cp.blacknight.com login

3) create your own FTP account in Inet Manger via terminate services.

Paul
