Hi I just opened a new account with you, and I am looking for a way to migrate all my emails from my current host to my account on Blacknight. Today I access my email via IMAP, so all my emails are on the mailserver. Using the webmail I have added my old email address under "multiple accounts" as POP3, but the webmail seems to simply access it remotely rather than pulling all emails. As a reference, when I performed the same type of operation in GMAIL it basically performed a full backup of the emails in my inbox, downloading all emails onto my gmail account. Is there a way to perform a similar operation and basically "backup" all my existing emails to my new shiny BK email account? Forwarding each email is obviously not an option ![]() I have full root access to the old server, so in case I can always do a backup of the actual directory holding the emails, if that can help ![]() Thanks! EDIT: Squirrelmail has the same option as Gmail, so worst case scenario I can always install that although it feels a bit overkill to be honest Last edited by francescoc; 08-12-08 at 02:15 PM. |

Yes... I ended up installing Squirrelmail, and the whole import (including importing my "Sent" item straight into my "Sent" folder on Blacknight) took about 5 minutes and worked like a charm. As a matter of fact I am still using Squirrelmail for my webmail too |
