I'm new to all this hosting and writing website stuff. What I'd like to know, is if there is any way to use some of the webspace in my hosting package like a personal folder, to have an online backup of important files like some of my documents and some other files. Also IF there was, is there a way to have like ftp use of one folder/directory on the webspace with secure login that members of my family could use, say for instance I have many photos from years ago, some I know who is in them and some I dont, I'd like my mother, my ex and some others to have access, to look at them and rename them to indicate who the pictures were of, also to have space for new pictures taken by the kids who dont live with me and I wont have seen previously. Dont worry it's nothing illegal or dodgy, it's exactly what i described. IF there isnt a way then I guess I look at other options, and yes I know about online "free" file storage but if something is free, there's always a catch, and I wont use them. |

For the photos some kind of gallery with restricted access might work, as it would probably allow people to add captions and comments, which would be a lot easier to work with than renaming files

Thanks installed the gallery from the aps list also the net2ftp I am a bit pzzled though, when I go to configure the fit thingy, it asks for the path yet when I log onto the website using an ftp program, there are no files or folders relating to either the net2ftp or the gallery Any idea where the folders are and what I would do to use these two programs? Also on the Gallery thingy it looks good but you can only upoad one picture at a time, is there any way to bulk upload? |

I've no idea about what gallery can or can't do - I'd recommend checking the documentation. As for paths etc., - please contact our support team so that they can assist you
