Registering a trademark name

Hi,

I am currently interested in setting up a website for my father who is an artist and I think it should go as a registered trade mark name.ie. I do not know how to set up this registered trade mark name or how much it costs. Can anyone please help as I am some what new to this and really like to get the ball rolling on this so that I obtain my .ie domain.

If your father is an artist then it would be a trading name NOT a trademark name

cheers for the reply. I take it that means that i must then register the name with the CRO? Also, what would te class of applicant be and then the domain type? Sorry, am a bit new to this!!!

You only need to register the name with the cro if the name is different to that of the person.

For example an artist called John Murphy who was known as "John Murphy" wouldn't need to register anything, but if he was trading as "widget inc" he'd need to register
