Default Control panel and upload speed

Hi,

I have been looking for a new hosting company and like what I see here so far.

The main reason for changing is that I upload lots of RAW files for my Indian team to work on. Often it is 450 RAW files totaling 4.5 gb in one go.

My existing hositn company is crap, very unstable and I have many connection losses. Many people who have tried to upload/download from my server have the same problems so it's not my service provider.

I two questions.

1) Is the control panel very different from cpanel?

2) What kind of upload/download speed are you experiencing. How long does it take you to upload one file of 1 GB and how long does it take to download it.

For some reason Blacknight won't let me do a quick test.

Many thanks for any answers.

J

Please do not misrepresent what our staff have been telling you.

We can offer you (and have done so) a way of testing downloads.

There is no way for us to let you test uploads without you signing up for an account (we offer a 30 day moneyback guarantee)

As our network has the same amount of bandwidth in and out (ie. both directions) the download speed is going to be as good as the upload. You can also check upload and downloads via this: http://www.irishisptest.com/myspeed.php

Default Sorry

I apologise to blacknight for leaving a sentence up to interpretation.

What I meant is that blacknight won't let me upload one file so that I can test speed and stability. That was what I meant.

Here's a copy of the speedtest. Not sure that upload and download speed is the same.

I'm not trying to pick a fight and would be really pleased to go with blacknight if I could just do one small test uploading say a couple of raw files. I just won't want to start signing up, learn a new control panel etc. etc. just to find the same problem.

That's why I asked what kind of upload speed others are experiencing.
