Spam and AV filtering - how good is it?

Hi,

I am looking to transfer two sites to Blacknight's Minimus hosting. The current provider offers a very effective Spam and AV filtering service for mail, however it is not the cheapest.

How good is the service in Blacknight and how customisable is it? I know there is a premium Spam filtering service aswell. What are the main differences between the two? or is it mainly that it is more customisable for black and whitelists etc?

I'd really appreciate anyone's views on their own experiences with the Spam filtering currently in place!

I don't use the spam filtering on all my accounts (personal choice) but on those that I do, I find the filters are brilliant. I have one account with extensive blacklists and never get hit

The only thing possibly is that there is only 1 setting and that is for spam, there is no possible spam setting but I think that is a limitation of the software and not Blacknight

I have never seen a virus so I am guessing that it works wells, I just checked my account and noticed that none have notify me set so just set that to see what happens

I also moved from another provider and I am happy enough to have moved over to them and slowly moving my existing domains over

I think I will bring the two domains over, mainly due to cost, and will trust Blacknight's Spam and AV filtering, based mainly on the fact that nobody seems to be saying its a bad thing, so I recon it can only be a good thing

Any other thoughts or input from anyone else?
