Hi, I'm looking at implementing an OSCommerce installation on my Linux-based account. I've used Installatron to install the standard OSCommerce version and everything works fine. However, I'm looking to buy a template from templatemonster.com to provide a prettier, more easy-to-use interface. And the system requirements tell me: Hosting with PHP4x and MySQL4x; Apache only (on Unix/Freebsd/Linux/Windows); Looking at the server info page on OSCommerce, I have the following details: PHP Version 5.2.2 Database: MySQL 5.0.41-community osCommerce 2.2-MS2 So, being largely a complete ignoramus when it comes to PHP/MySQL, I'm wondering if the current config will work with OSCommerce files which were designed to work with older versions. I can't really test it out myself since I have to buy the template before I can test the code. Any ideas? When I say template files, these files aren't simply HTML pages - they include inline PHP script and what not. Thanks! |

They *should* work, but we've no easy way of knowing ![]() If the template was produced with a recent enough version of OsCommerce then I would presume that those requirements are minimum versions and not absolutes. In any case I'd recommend contacting template monster's sales / support people just to be 100% sure about the versions. Sorry if that's vague Regards Michele
