Default Setting Up e-mail Account

This may seem to be a fairly monor problem, but it has me pulling my hair out. I am trying to set up an email account for my domain. I have gone through the tutorial successfully, and try it out by sending a test email to my new account. I then get an error message saying that they couldn't find the host (#5.1.2).

What am I doing wrong???

If you are using a windows based pc you should do the following:

Start Menu > Run - and put "cmd" in the dialog box. Hit enter and this will take you to a DOS prompt.
The type the following:
ping mail.domain.ie - replacing where necessary
