Default Anonymous FTP?

How does Anonymous FTP work? I've set it up on Plesk under a domain on a an exclusive IP, but how does someone login? What are the user details?

Normally it's anonymous ie. user "anon" pass "anon" (or nothing at all)

Just be careful - it can easily be abused

That's what I'm worried about.

I just want to create a way for clients to send me files, and for me to send artwork to printers. Would a normal web-user (with only access to a certain directory) do the trick?

Why don't you create an FTP user / pass and just give it to them?

eg. user: myclients pass: m3passw0rd

... or similar

There are other ways of doing this over uploads etc., but I'm not the best person to ask

That sounds like the best option alright. I just want to make sure I can restrict them to a certain folder but that should be easy to do.

Thanks!
