Hi I am hoping to start up an online business within the next 6-9 months and use an .ie address. I have seen in a previous post that to register a .ie domain for a business you need to have a registered business name from the CRO. I have 2 questions in relation to this that I hope you might be able to help with: 1. Can I register the .ie domain and then get a registered business name at some stage in future (before I set up and start trading)? 2. As I live in Belfast can I use a .ie to trade and (possibly something I need to check with CRO) can I get a registered business name for a company based in the north of Ireland? I would be really grateful for any advice. Thanks, John. |

John If you are based in NI you do not need a registered business name per se, as the UK company office rules are different. Instead of the business name you would need a letter from your accountant OR some other proof of trading with that name. If you have more detailed queries please let our sales team know Regards Michele
