Changing files UIDs and GIDs ?

Hi All, new here ...

I need to change the UID and the GID of a template that I have installed. Can I do this myself or do I need to make a request in a ticket ?

I would prefer to do myself if possible, rather than requesting tickets as I may have to do it a few times, do we have any ssh access to our own sites or can only access via direct admin ?
