Well what does 'leading' mean?

I've been with many hosting providers over about 6 years in the internet business, and i've just got a dedicated server from Blacknight. The pricing is excellent, the support is second to none, and I feel like I am more of a partner than a customer - essential in any business.

Webhosting.info does not for me represent any method of defining the 'leading' hosting provider in Ireland. Unfortunately - and this should not really be the case - finding who the leading hosting SERVICE providers are is pretty much a matter of trial and error, and with my last providers I certainly made a serious error in choosing them.

Thankfully now though, those days are over and I am delighted with Blacknight!

Regards,

Hugh

I guess service comes easier when the company is small, less customers, less staff, blacknight are a great 'boutique' provider, able to give the customer that little bit more time Lets just hope they dont get too busy and successful

Out of curiosity, who were your last providers, and why were they so bad? Did you also have a dedicated server with them?

That sounds like nothing more then sour grapes or atleast a cheap shot across the bows of Blacknight.

I have never used another provider other then Blacknight - and I have never been given a reason to find another. Their service over the past few years has been impeccable and they have literally catered to my clients every need and request (within given reason).

With too much given to "leading whoever" in the field of "no-one cares" - that means as much to me as the price of tea in China - which is very little. I go by an idiom that says

"if you get it first time and its reliable, use it" and that is why I became a customer of Blacknight's and look forward to using their services repeatadly over the coming years.

regards

Peter

I'm sure you probably know them, and I'm sure you probably know that they think they're 'big', but their service is dreadful, and techniques to try to recruit customers are woeful.

Nothing of the sort, just making the point that I've been with big providers, small providers and huge plc's, and it tend to be the small guy that gives the best service. It's simple a matter of scale. Less customers = more time to look after them.

Well one reason I chose Blacknight is because they are one of Irelands fastest hosting providers for a reason. Maybe they will get really big, and I hope they do, because other companies I wont mention only think they've gotten big, and their service is muck.

They also have a tendency to post about other hosters pretending to be punters themselves, and tend to delete complaints from their own hosting forum - i've experienced it myself.
