Default Morgana - Emergency Maintenance (Sept 11th, 16:50)

Hi,

We're having issues with 'morgana' at the moment. We're trying to diagnose a repeating hardware issue. We'll update people more once we've diagnosed the issue fully and we have an ETA on the fix.

We do apologise for this issue, but sometimes hardware issues are difficult to diagnose.

Default Quick Update

Hi All,

We've narrowed the issue to one of the hard drives dying. It hasn't failed outright which has caused this issue to be so prolonged.

Tonight starting from 7.30pm we're going to take the machine completely offline and replace both the drives. This process is going to take quite a while so we're estimating 3-4 hours downtime. With that said, once this is done the problem should be resolved permanently.

Again we're sorry for this issue and please rest assured that we're working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

Regards,

Blacknight Engineering

It seems is back on-line. I hope that was the end of it for today as I have so much work to do.

Yeah Louie,

It should be 100% now, we're watching her closely. Yesterday was agravated by people sending our large mailing lists with links back to their sites which was over loading the webserver software.

We replaced the disks last night and things are looking more stable.
